Silver vessel from South-western Iran, belonging to the Proto-Elamite
period (3100-2900 B.C.), now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New
York. The vessel is held by a therianthropic being, with the head and
forelegs of a bull, while the lower part of the body, wrapped up in
a long dress, seems to reveal woman-like features and posture.
