Terracotta female figure from Hacilar Höyük (Anatolia, Turkey), one of the most important Neolithic sites in the Near East, dating back to the VII millennium B.C. The morbidity of the forms emphasize the maternal and reproductive function of the woman, while the posture could hint to a pregnant condition.
The artifact is in the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, Ankara, Turkey.
