Clay statuette representing a woman suckling a child, from the Neolithic site of Drenava (Serbia). Most of these findings have been found in dwellings, near the hearth or in spaces devoted to domestic activities. This corroborates the hypothesis that such objects were part of ritual practices aimed to obtain the favour of entities presiding over and protecting the home and its inhabitants, as well as the fertility of humans, fields and domestic animals. The object is now in the Narodni Muzej, Smederevska Palanka, Serbia.
